Tenancy Agreements
Tenancy Agreements
Your tenancy will be an individual tenancy agreement within a shared house. This means that you will have sole right to your bedroom which has a lock for privacy and security.
You will be jointly responsible with other housemates for the care and cleanliness of communal areas. This includes cleaning up after yourself in the kitchen and shared bathroom facilities and managing the rubbish and re-cycling between yourselves.
The Agreement contains the terms and obligations of the Tenancy. It sets out the legally binding obligations that will be placed upon the Tenant and Landlord. You should read this Agreement carefully to ensure that you are prepared to agree to it. If you do not understand the Agreement or anything in it you should ask for an explanation before signing it. Alternatively you should consider consulting a solicitor, Citizen’s Advice or Housing Advice Centre for assistance.
Letter of Guarantee
Each application for tenancy must be supported by a Guarantor who is at least 25 years old, and who lives and works in the UK. The Guarantor will undertake to pay your rent and any other charges if you are unable to do so.
